## Overview

The goal of this course is to provide you with the knowledge required to use more advanced formulas and work with various tools to analyse data in spreadsheets, such as advanced sorting and filtering, and conditional formatting. You will also organise table data and present data as charts.

The course emphasises hands-on experience, with a series of self-guided exercises integrated into the training.

## Prerequisites

This course is aimed at existing Excel users who need to further their knowledge. Delegates are assumed to have experience of entering data and writing basic formulas, including common functions such as SUM and AVERAGE.

## Delegates will learn how to

• Use formula-related tools and techniques
• Work with popular Excel functions including IF, IFS, VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP*
• Utilise the features of new dynamic arrays and dynamic array formulas*
• Use advanced data list features and Excel Tables
• Create and visualise using charts and sparklines
• Use common features such as comments, notes, and templates
• Apply and use conditional formatting

Please note that this course uses Microsoft Excel for Windows. It’s not suitable for Excel for Mac. Courses for Mac users are available on request

For customers attending remotely via Virtual Classroom or ‘Attend From Anywhere’, an additional screen is required for this course to work through remote desktop labs and view training information.

This course is suitable for anyone using Excel 2013 or later. If delivered in a QA training centre, it will be delivered using Excel 2019.

If you have been booked onto a course by your company, you will receive a confirmation email. From this email, select "Sign into myQA" and you will be taken to the "Create account" page. Complete all of the details and select "Create account".

If you have the booking number you can also go here and select the "I have a booking number" option. Enter the booking reference and your surname. If the details match, you will be taken to the "Create account" page from where you can enter your details and confirm your account.

### How do QA’s virtual classroom courses work?

Our learning professionals are specially trained on how to interact with remote attendees and our remote labs ensure all participants can take part in hands-on exercises wherever they are.

We use the WebEx video conferencing platform by Cisco.
