How QA can help you

In the last decade, we’ve jump-started the careers of over 30,000 eager learners, introducing them to leading employers, from quirky local businesses to corporate giants.

A staggering 91% of our apprentices go straight into full-time work, while 70% feel more confident and better prepared for work-life than most people their age.

By sticking with us, you can take your learning from entry level 3 and work your way up to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

  • Totally. Debt. Free. You don’t pay for your learning tuition. This is covered by your employer and the government. You will earn a salary, paid by your employer and you will be eligible of company benefits.
  • Intakes all-year-round. Apprenticeship vacancies become available throughout the year. There are no set times of the year for start dates. Search. Apply. Begin your dream career.
  • Fully supported: Typically, your apprenticeship will last between 12 to 18 months and between 3 to 6 years for advanced degree level apprenticeships. Your goals covered.

How apprenticeships work

Watch this video to see how QA’s unique apprenticeship programme is designed to help you take the next step in your career.

Is an apprenticeship for you?

We’re looking for anyone with a passion for tech, a willingness to learn and a dream of pushing boundaries. Your qualifications to this stage will depend on the programme you choose, but the general entry requirements are:

Age: Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged 16 or over. There is no upper age limit.

Location: You must be eligible to live and work in the UK and have lived in the UK for 3 years.

Qualifications: You must have three to five GCSEs. You cannot already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or a higher level than the apprenticeship you are applying for.

Each advertised apprenticeship vacancy has different entry requirements, so be sure to check the one you’re interested in to see if you’re a match. If you are already working and you want to do an apprenticeship through your employer, you will need to check their specific requirements.

Your journey to a successful apprenticeship:

Take a look at the apprenticeship programmes below. Once you have found a programme that interests you, browse through the vacancies related to that area. You don’t need to have any experience in the programme subject matter, you will learn as you go.

When you find a vacancy that you like, apply for it. If you’re a good match for the vacancy, we’ll give you a call to find out a bit more about you and your goals. We’ll do a documentation and ID check and then you’ll create a personal profile which is an opportunity to tell employers about yourself. Don’t worry, we’ll help you through the process. If you’re applying for a job with one of our larger employers, you might be invited to an assessment day – or they might have other special steps to take - we’ll give you all the details.

We’ll keep in touch about the apprenticeship job you applied for. And, if any others come up that we think you’d like, we’ll let you know too. We’ll set up any interviews and help you prepare for them.

If all goes well…you’ll get the job.

When you start, you’ll be introduced to your Digital Learning Consultants. They’ll support you through your whole apprenticeship, work with you and your manager to keep you on track through the course and help you prepare for your final assessment.

Digital by design, your learning will be made up of a mix of online learning and live interactions provided by expert tutors delivering, workshops with lectures, discussions, activities and practical mock assessments.

Fully supported, your line manager will support with practical projects at work and our Learner Services Team will help you deal with any career advice, social activities, mental health support or workplace issues.

Towards the end of your apprenticeship, you'll be ready to sit your end-point assessment. This will cover what you have learnt, how you did the work and also the personal and interpersonal skills you brought to your working relationships. Once completed it may be that you stay with your current employer or choose to move on. Either way, you'll have excellent experience under your belt and the confidence to progress forward successfully on your new career path!
