About this course

Course code TPFBR
Duration 5 Days

The course is ideal for new entrants to the network infrastructure industry. It is also suitable for network administrators and installers seeking to increase their practical knowledge and understanding of fibre optic based cabling and who require a recognised qualification.

The full CNCI® program (comprising the CNCI® Fibre Optic Cabling and the CNCI® Copper Cabling courses) and associated certification, is helping to shape the future of the network infrastructure industry by introducing professional and industry recognised certification to cable installers (individuals and companies). Once achieved the CNCI® certification ensures individuals are qualified to work to the correct cabling standards and follow the recommended codes of practice when undertaking cable installation projects.

With a team of professionally trained and certified individuals the risks are significantly reduced and organisations can feel confident that their staff are totally fit for purpose. When you consider the huge risks associated with not employing professionally qualified people to do the job, coupled with the impressive return on investment you can gain from utilising trained staff, the answer is to have trained and qualified employees you can rely on to deliver consistent results. The CNCI® offers the perfect solution to network cabling organisations to help ensure they continue to deliver quality of service and confidence to the market place, in addition to helping secure your organisations professional reputation.

The CNCI® Fibre Optic Cabling course is designed for those wishing to demonstrate the highest levels of knowledge, skills and expertise regarding this ever-evolving sector. Network cabling installers are involved with the design and deployment of the communications cabling infrastructures that form the basis of IT local area network (LAN) infrastructures. This course provides up-to-date information from the team of expert instructors about the preparation and installation of fibre optic cabling.

The duration of this course is 5 days and is 50% theoretical learning and 50% practical hands-on training, which is led by one of the instructors.

Successful CNCI® Fibre Optic Cabling delegates gain an internationally recognised qualification. However, combining this course with the CNCI® Copper Cabling course provides delegates with the official CNCI® status in addition to the use of post nominal letters i.e. Martin Smith CNCI. It is highly recommended that delegates attend the CNCI® Copper Cabling course in order to gain the full CNCI® status.

Once a delegate has become a CNCI® they are likely to be able to lead a team within six months from course completion, whilst managing projects is a distinct possibility after approximately 18 months of on-the-job experience.

CNCI® certification enters the delegate into a commitment to life-long learning and offers the perfect portal to ensure knowledge, skills and certification remain current and up-to-date. Each certification gained requires re-certifying every three years. The process is simple and easy via an on-line learning management system allowing you to bring your knowledge up-to-date to reflect the very latest changes and technical developments within the industry. Successful delegates can benefit from having continued access to the training material whenever needed, continued use of the CNCI® logo and post nominal letters for the next three years.
