Microsoft TechDays Online Azure Special

Key thoughts and findings from our recent Microsoft Azure event.

QA | 15 June 2015

Microsoft TechDays Online Azure Special was an amazing experience and a great way for QA to work with our Microsoft Partners and showcase the key aspects of the Azure infrastructure for new and existing customers.

Working alongside Microsoft technical evangelists we delivered Networking and Virtual Machine demonstrations, highlighting the differences in the portals and best practices for implementation and deployment.

Azure is an exciting technology that continues to evolve. Its fluid and dynamic nature can often cause confusion. To ease the confusion, and give customers the confidence to adopt the technology as they make their transition to the cloud, I was on-hand to answer questions during the live session and thereafter via chat.

Azure redefines the way IT operates. Its PAYG model means companies can pay for what they need, when they need it and scale from a handful of resources to large scale enterprise deployments at a fraction of the time it would have taken in the past.  It allows companies to offload the support and management of their on-premises infrastructure, significantly reducing the day-to-day running costs of their environments and utilising the SAAS, PAAS and IAAS solutions that can scale in and out, on-demand.

The sessions and feedback from Microsoft deemed this event a huge success and I am very pleased to be part of a team who continue to drive this exciting technology forward.

Microsoft are hosting the TechDays Online sessions on-demand in case you missed them on the day.
