The UK’s leading IT and business skills training and education provider, QA Group, has today announced the appointment of Nathan Runnicles as Chief Financial Officer. Nathan will join QA Group on 21 May 2018, replacing Ian Johnson who is due to retire later this month.

Nathan joins from Tes Global, a private equity owned business, where he spent the last two years as CFO. Prior to this, Nathan held a number of similar senior roles including CFO at online market research company, Research Now Group Inc.

Commenting on his appointment, Runnicles said:

“I’m very excited to be joining QA and getting the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing run of success the business has had. I’m also looking forward to visiting our centres and meeting people across the Group.”

William Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer of QA Group, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Nathan to the board. With Nathan’s wealth of financial management experience, he is ideally suited to support the ambitious plans we have as the UK’s leading IT education and skills provider, and to build on the solid foundations that Ian Johnson and his team have built over the years. I am very grateful to Ian for his tremendous contribution to QA Group over the last 10 years.

“Nathan will combine his knowledge and expertise of the financial arena to ensure we are well positioned for the future and I look forward to welcoming him later this month.”

Runnicles’ appointment is the second change to the QA executive team this year, following the announcement in March that Lisa Harrington joined QA Group, from BT, as Managing Director of its Learning Division.
