QA won two Bronze awards in the highly competitive Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) 2014 Awards ceremony, while QA Apprenticeships won Gold.

The LPI hosts the annual Learning Awards to recognise outstanding examples of high standards, best practice, innovation and excellence in Learning and Development. The awards are presented at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London and are firmly established as the benchmark for excellence throughout the learning industry.

External Learning Solution of the Year - Bronze Award

QA, working closely with longtime aerospace, security and defense industry client QinetiQ, won Bronze in the category: External Learning Solution of the Year.

The award was presented for a multi-faceted Project Management learning solution called QinetiQ "Living-Learning" Project Management Academy

The External Learning Solution of the Year Award is presented to a learning provider that has undertaken a major learning and development project for a client that is innovative in concept and has produced demonstrable performance improvement for the client.

QinetiQ had identified that formal Project Management learning and training 'packages' were not effective enough by themselves and they needed to rapidly and significantly enhance the professional capabilities of its PM teams, ensuring that these skills were instilled and 'instinctive'.  QA was able to assist and implemented the "Living-Learning" Project Management Academy, with excellent results.

Such has been QinetiQ's rapid improvement in Project Management technique and capability that QinetiQ were awarded "Corporate Accreditation with the APM" and even some of QinetiQ's competitors have asked QinetiQ how they did it.

Live Online Learning Facilitator of the Year - Bronze Award

The Live Online Learning Facilitator of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has shown exceptional live online facilitation skills. In particular, the judges seek clear differentiators from other entrants to the award, evidence of innovation and client endorsement, ensuring learner engagement, having sound subject matter expertise, and having a strong proposition in response to the challenge 'what was special about your performance this year?'

QA's Liz Robertson delivers live online courses for QA, covering key business applications such Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This involves designing, developing and facilitating online learning that is both engaging and effective, to support training requirements for demanding clients around the world.

QA asked Liz to expand the classroom skills, she honed over the last 8 years with QA, to include online delivery.  And then showed her how online could be just as effective. The fact that she knew her subject inside and out meant that she could concentrate fully on re-purposing content and adapting her facilitation style to deliver maximum effectiveness.

Liz has been outstanding over the last year as reflected in the stellar course scores and feedback she's collected. A thoroughly deserved award!
