Speaker bio
Gerry McCafferty
Since joining QA in 2005, Gerry has successfully designed and delivered learning programmes for customers across a wide range of industry sectors including Finance (Goldman Sachs), Technology (Sony), Consulting (Accenture), Transport (Network Rail), FMCG (Nestlé), and multiple public sector organisations. Gerry is also QA’s lead consultant for the development of new certification products including PRINCE2-7, APM PMQ, and PMI CAPM and PMP. Gerry has a unique ability to design and deliver innovative and engaging solutions – with a strong emphasis on active, experiential, and fun learning.
Gerry spent several years as an industrial designer for various organisations and moved into project management during his 10 years spell with Motorola, ultimately assuming the position of New Products Introduction Manager for Motorola’s Global Smartcard Division. Prior to joining QA, he was a Senior Program Manager with Cadence Design Systems (the world’s largest independent design services consultancy) and led multiple design, consulting and business improvement projects for major clients such as Philips, Sony, IBM, Nokia and HP.
Gerry has an MBA and is a full member of APM, holding a number of professional certifications including APM PMQ, PMI-PMP, PRINCE2, Change Management and various Agile qualifications. He also has a post-graduate diploma in Learning Design and Development.
