Overview
If you’re already using Microsoft 365 Copilot or Microsoft Copilot Chat, this course will show you how to step up a level - moving from ad-hoc prompting into clear, structured, strategic collaboration with Microsoft Copilot. In one focused day, you’ll learn how to shape prompts that guide Microsoft Copilot, stabilise its responses, uncover missing information, and support richer thinking and better decisions across your work.
Rather than teaching features or prompt templates, this course focuses on the skills and mindset that turn Microsot Copilot into a genuine partner in your work. You’ll learn how to move from commanding Microsoft Copilot to collaborating with it, discussing before delivery, , shaping the task together, and using Microsoft Copilot to reveal what’s missing, unclear, or unexplored.
The emphasis is on a mindset shift of working with Microsoft Copilot as a thought partner, not just a tool to command. You will learn about clarifying intent, exploring context, framing better questions, applying deep role prompting, using meta-skills to guide the process, and treating Microosoft Copilot as a coach that strengthens your reasoning.
The result is a shift in how you work - from quick instructions to a deliberate, structured partnership that produces clearer insight, stronger decisions, and more reliable output across any task or domain.
Delegates move beyond fire-and-forget prompting and learn how to steer interactions strategically, adapt their approach across different scenarios, and include Microsoft Copilot into their thinking - not just as a tool. Learners leave with a practical, repeatable prompting method they can apply in any AI chat environment with confidence and control.
Fast-Paced Learning Experience
Note: This course is immersive and fast-paced. It’s designed for people who are already hands-on with Microsoft Copilot and want to move quickly from understanding to application.
Expect an intensive day packed with frameworks, techniques, skills and hands-on experimentation. Every concept builds on the last, guiding you from prompt refinement to full prompt strategy and, ultimately, to Copilot partnership.
The fast pace is intentional: it reflects the shift in capability this course is designed to deliver.
If you've already completed our Copilot fundamentals course (QA365COPBU) or have real-world experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot or Copilot Chat or any other Gen AI tool, this course is your next step.

Course Outline
This course isn’t about “Copilot for HR” or “Copilot for Finance.”
It’s about you - learning how to collaborate with Microsoft Copilot using clarity, creativity, and strategic control.
During the day you’ll get hands-on practice with the techniques that make Microsoft Copilot actually work and change your mindset and relationship with Copilot including:
- Quick Wins - the fast alignment moves that instantly improve weak prompts.
- Build-Your-Own Frameworks - creating a structure that fits your task, not someone else’s.
- Deep Role Prompting - turning Copilot into the exact exper(s) you need, with the right tone, depth, and perspective.
- AI Coaching – getting Microsoft Copilot to coach you before it generates anything.
- Meta Skills - using Microsoft Copilot to help you use Microsoft Copilot
- Recursive Iteration - refining outputs through multiple automatic improvement passes rather than accepting the first thing it gives you.
- Extreme Copilot - pushing Copilot to explore bold, cautious, and unconventional options to widen your thinking.
- Troubleshooting & Recovery - fixing drift, hallucination, vagueness or “What’s up with you, buddy?” moments mid-conversation.
These are some of the moves that shift Microsoft Copilot from “useful tool” to thought partner
Many of these skills become even more valuable after the course. Learners are encouraged to revisit them to deepen their skills, practise new techniques, and continue building confidence in real-world work.
This is a practical, high-impact learning experience - one that goes beyond exposure to new ideas and gives you the tools, mindset, and partnership behaviours needed to use Microsoft Copilot confidently, creatively, and with strategic intent.
