Biography
Jon started as a corporate quality systems/ TickIT auditor gaining exposure to all aspects of a global telecoms business exploring different global communities and procurement paths. Due to Jons pragmatic and client-centric approach, Jon was soon approached to focus on the exciting world of project management. Jons career to date has spread across tier 2 MOD supplier, fraud solutions and developing/implementing project management frameworks within both the private and public sector. Extremely comfortable creating bespoke and then subsequent delivery of client content in a multitude of media, independent of face-to-face, virtual or hybrid delivery.
Jon is adept at building and maintaining relationships long term. This spans all levels within an organization for both public and private sectors, nationally and internationally. Very often, Jon is a preferred facilitator representing our QA family.
Jon has a keen interest in practical value-add project and risk management. Within QA, Jon is Product lead for risk. His creativity is not limited to AXELOS and Association of Project Management courses but also bespoke development too. For example, he has authored an 8 week project professional programme; authored various degree-level project management modules; various tailored 1 day risk courses at different levels, 1 of which contains our prestigious QA digital badge for Risk (only when passed!).
Career history
Jon joined QA in 2008 as a Senior Lecturer. Jon has extensive experience within Project, Quality, Performance and change management. His passion and enthusiasm to all clients is obvious to see!
Jon started his career working for a global telecoms company Ericsson, as a Quality professional creating a value-add Quality Management System. This quickly progressed into audit, in particular leading audit teams globally (TickIT lead auditor). Coverage included both internal to Ericsson and external, for example ongoing supplier audits. Highlight for Jon was the creation of a robust single procurement framework across UK as well as maintenance of quality standards and leading on efficiency projects.
Whilst at Ericsson, his responsibility increased to provide core services across the organization such as resource management, project management frameworks, training, consultancy, facilitation, performance management.
Jon left Ericsson for an opportunity working for a tier 2 MOD supplier in the training environment based on military vehicles. This included both hardware and software solutions.
Jon worked for a local authority with an objective to establish a generic project management framework that increased the likelihood of project success. Jon also had ongoing projects in particular efficiency projects, lead for Business Continuity Management. As part of his role, Jon developed and rolled out audit training courses throughout.
Jon worked for fraud organization Experian. Main delivery here were multiple software projects with a lifecycle of approximate 14 weeks. Single point of contact for all successes and challenges throughout.
Jon joined QA in 2008. Jon has a flair for building and maintaining relationships with everyone. Jon delivers a portfolio of different courses in project and risk management and has a passion for bespoke tailored courses. This is end-to-end from meeting our Client with a view to creating a ‘blueprint’ then running a pilot, performing a retrospective and then rollout. Jon is ‘locked’ into a number of Clients for this very reason.
