Course ratings explained
When you're deciding which course is right for you, it's helpful to know what previous learners thought of their experience.
That's why we display a Course Recommendation Rating on our course pages. The rating is based on feedback collected directly from learners who have completed the course and responded to our post-course quality survey.
Our goal is to provide a clear and transparent view of learner satisfaction, using real feedback from people who have attended the course.
Our ratings explained
Our recommendation rating is designed to give you a simple, easy-to-understand view of learner satisfaction.
We believe that learners who are willing to recommend a course provide a strong indication of the quality and value of their learning experience.
All ratings are based on feedback from learners who have completed the course and responded to our quality survey.
Results are updated directly from our survey platform to reflect latest, unbiased, learner feedback in real time. The ratings are refreshed every 24 hours to reflect latest data from our learners.
Courses may require a minimum number of survey responses before a rating is displayed.
While ratings provide a useful guide, we encourage you to review the course description, learning objectives and audience details to determine whether a course is right for your needs.
Where the data comes from
After completing a course, learners are invited to complete a quality survey.
As part of that survey, we ask the following question:
"How likely are you to recommend QA as a training and learning provider?"
Learners respond using a scale from 1 to 10, where:
- 1 means "Not at all likely"
- 10 means "Extremely likely"
How we calculate the rating
To calculate the recommendation rating shown on a course page, we look at the percentage of survey respondents who selected:
- 8
- 9
- 10
These responses indicate learners who would be likely to recommend the course and learning experience.
Example:
If 100 learners completed the survey and:
- 35 gave a score of 8
- 25 gave a score of 9
- 20 gave a score of 10
Then:
- 80 out of 100 learners would recommend the course
The recommendation rating displayed would therefore be:
80% of learners would recommend this course
