Ian is a highly experienced director, consultant, author, facilitator and speaker with over 20 years’ experience in project, program and portfolio management, organisational change and learning.

Ian is Fellow of the Association for Project Management, an advisor to many organisations on project and program management best practice and standards, and a mentor to project professionals. Ian was an author of the APM Body of Knowledge (BoK) 6, a member of the Global Review Group for PRINCE2 6th and 7th Editions, and MSP 5th Edition. Ian was on the technical advisory board for the development of the APM Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management, and also for the update to the APM suite of certifications for BoK 6. Ian is a regular contributor for Project Manager Today Magazine, and APM and PeopleCert blogs, and the APM Projecting the Future initiative. Ian has published over 100 articles, blog, papers on project management.

Having started his career in the UK Ministry of Defence, and then running large, complex projects and programs in a global automotive company, Ian now works with organisations in all sectors designing, developing and delivering solutions to build project and program management capability and capacity. A leading figure in the industry, Ian brings over two decades of experience from working with some of the worlds largest companies to help organisations improve their project, program and portfolio management capability.
