On 25 June, QA was named as one of the UK’s Top 50 Employers of Veterans for 2026, having demonstrated outstanding support for the veteran community.

Commenting on the news, Jo Bishenden, Chief Learning Officer at QA, said:

“Being recognised as one of the UK's Top 50 Employers of Veterans is a proud achievement for everyone at QA.

“Veterans bring a wealth of experience, resilience, leadership and problem-solving skills that are invaluable in today's workplace. We are committed to creating an environment where members of the Armed Forces community can successfully transition into civilian careers, continue developing their skills and build long-term professional success.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our colleagues and the importance we place on ensuring veterans have access to meaningful opportunities to learn, grow and contribute across our organisation.”

The Top 50 Employers of Veterans ranking is widely regarded as the UK’s leading benchmark for Forces-friendly employers. Assessed by an independent panel of senior business leads, veterans and subject matter experts, it recognises organisations that demonstrate meaningful and measurable support for the Armed Forces community.

Organisations are evaluated on the breadth and effectiveness of their initiatives, including recruitment representation, policies, professional development and wider community engagement.

QA’s inclusion in the list reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting veterans as they transition into civilian careers and develop the skills needed to thrive in today’s economy. Many of the 15,000 people leaving the UK Armed Forces each year possess highly transferable skills from their military service, however they can face challenges translating this experience into civilian roles.

Through apprenticeships, digital skills programmes and workforce learning initiatives, QA helps individuals to turn their experience into valuable, employer-recognised skills, and build rewarding careers in areas such as technology, data, cybersecurity, business and leadership.
