Diversity & Inclusion

The tech sector has a diversity problem. We are taking that problem very seriously. So seriously in fact that we have taken matters into our own hands with a number of inclusion initiatives.

QA in The Inclusive Top 50 list

In recognition of our dedication to workplace diversity, we’re proud to announce that QA has been ranked 34th in The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List 2021/22 – a list that has identified the most inclusive companies across the nation and takes into account evidence of inclusivity practices across all strands of diversity (including age, disability, gender, LGBT, race and faith and much more).

Clear Assured Bronze accreditation

In 2020, many companies highlighted the issue of Diversity and Inclusion. We here at QA aimed to become more diverse by being a more inclusive employer and making positive changes company-wide. A part of doing this was by introducing Diversity & Inclusion champions, who will help make QA a more inclusive place to work.

Less than a year later, we are making huge progress and aim to continue doing so. We’re proud to announce that we've achieved bronze accreditation with Clear Assured, a leading diversity and inclusion framework! Our partnership with Clear Assured will support us in our progression as we continue empowering our people, clients and learners.

We're also working with ShawTrust to create an accessible website for all our learners and clients.

QA is a signatory of the Good Recruitment Charter and the Tech Talent Charter.

Teaching the nation to code for free

We’ve made it our mission to get more kids into tech. Our Teach the Nation to Code events are free, fun and they run up and down the country. They are 1 day coding workshops, targeted at sixth formers, career changers and graduates. They aim to inspire young people to pursue careers in tech and software development.

Supporting military servicemen and women back into work

AWS re:Start is a training programme dedicated to getting people back into work. The first group focussed on supporting military servicemen and women, and their spouses. We deliver training to ex-military personnel offering them the opportunity to move out of active service into a role in the tech sector.
