Let’s make it work for you

Overview

Strategic alignment of projects and programmes, supported by business-as-usual activities, with corporate vision, aims, and objectives is increasingly critical as organisational delivery maturity grows. As organisations improve their capability to deliver initiatives, effective portfolio management ensures that the right work is prioritised, governed, and delivered to maximise strategic value.

This two-day interactive course is designed for individuals who are involved in, or have a professional interest in, portfolio management. Typical attendees include portfolio directors, portfolio managers, and portfolio management office staff, including portfolio analysts. The course provides a comprehensive introduction to portfolio management principles and practices, with a strong focus on real-world application and exam readiness.

The course is aligned to the APMG inspired Managing Portfolio Professional syllabus and is offered at one level. It is based on the Managing Portfolios guide authored by Steve Jenner and prepares learners to sit the Managing Portfolio Professional examination. Through structured learning, facilitated discussion, and scenario-based exercises, learners develop the knowledge and analytical capability required to operate effectively in portfolio management roles.
