Entry requirements

Standard Entry Requirements

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

Non-standard entry with work experience

Relevant qualifications and/or work experience will be considered for applicants with potential to benefit from the programme.

Learner journey

The programme integrates live and online workshops with self-paced learning, employing a guided discovery approach for individual learner contexts.

Learners are assigned a Digital Learning Consultant (DLC) for personalised coaching and support. These specialists ensure their successful progress, wellbeing, and readiness for assessments.

Modules | 13 months

  • Module 1: Core IT Principles
  • Module 2: Core Cloud and Networking Principles 
  • Module 3: Networking Architecture and Security
  • Module 4: Azure, AWS and Advanced Networking Principles

EPA | 4 months

Professional discussion

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: AZ-900
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner: CCP

Qualification

IfATE ICT3 Qualification Award

This programme is suitable for multiple roles, such as:

  • Network Support Technician

  • IT Field Technician

Funding

There is no cost to you as an apprentice. Apprenticeships are fully funded through your employer.

If you are an employer, the maximum funding for this programme is £15,000. Expenses for travel to QA centres should be covered by the employer.
