Job overview:

You will assist the Project Engineers in taking the concept solution and proposal, detailed from the Sales team, driving the technical part of the project.

Main role and responsibilities:

  • Configuration of Icomera equipment
  • Configuration of third-party networking equipment including Ethernet switches and access points
  • Bench testing of equipment and configuration
  • Perform acceptance tests
  • Project documentation

As the role progresses, further involvement will include:

  • Refine and document customer requirements
  • Creating Customer facing Solution overviews
  • Refine and accurately document the system architecture design that will be implemented
  • Handover finalised projects to Technical Support staff and maintenance department
  • Ensuring Icomera supplied components are correctly stated
  • Ensuring supply chain and stock management processes are followed
  • Oversee in First of Class Installations
  • Make changes/modifications to fit installations
  • Working closely with the Sales Engineering team
  • Be part of a project from start to finish
  • Reviewing installation designs

  • Exposure to Ethernet Networking
  • Exposure to Linux / command line / equipment configuration
  • Strong team player with good work ethics, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized self-starter, ability to work proactively

Desired qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above including Maths and English
  • Any previous IT related courses
  • Any self-study in the area of IT

Salary:

£11,356.92 per annum.
