This course has been specifically designed for individuals wishing to acquire skills of the highest calibre in order to carry out their data centre related activities. CDCTP® certification is beneficial to anyone that has day-to-day responsibility for the smooth running of these mission critical facilities.

Ensuring zero downtime within the data centre environment involves having people on board that have unrivalled technical skills regarding every element of these facilities. Those with CDCTP® certification are increasingly seen as vital to the smooth running of any data centre operation and the course will give delegates the ability to identify, decipher and remedy potential problems quickly, decisively and accurately.

This course addresses the wide range of subjects necessary relevant to the data centre technician including the latest policy, procedure and compliance based legislation, standards and codes of conduct, as well as detailed analysis of current measuring, monitoring and auditing techniques.

The Certified Data Centre Technician Professional (CDCTP®) program is 5 days in duration, however it can be split into two units and taken separately:

The Certified Data Centre Technician (CDCT®) – Core Unit is a 3 day unit
The Certified Data Centre Technician (CDCTP®) – Professional Unit is a 2 day unit

You must successfully complete the (CDCT®) core unit before moving on to the (CDCTP®) professional unit

Core Unit
This three-day course covers the essential elements of being a data centre technician. Topics covered include data centre fundamentals, the physical infrastructure, business continuity and disaster recovery.

Professional Unit
This two day course comprises an in-depth analysis of the advanced elements of being a data centre technician - policies, procedures and compliance, and how to successfully measure, monitor and audit.

Topics such as data and non-data related legislation, data and non-data related standards, regulations and codes of conduct, metrics, risk management and auditing are all covered in-depth.
