What is the difference between the PMI certifications available?

Designed for those with little or no project experience, the CAPM® demonstrates your understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management

• PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP® demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects.

• PMI's Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)® credential is a solution to project management's increasing growth, complexity and diversity. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMI-SP® fills the need for a specialist role in project scheduling.

How do I maintain my PMI certification?

QA are a PMI Registered Education Provider (REP Number: 1178) and all of our project management and leadership courses can be potentially used as Professional Development Units (PDUs) which provide proof of your three-year cycle of continuing certification requirements. One hour of learning should be reported as one PDU. Full details of the educational requirements for maintaining your certification can be found in the CCR Handbook which you can access from PMI's website. If you are asked by PMI for proof of your learning and do not have a course certificate, please contact your local QA office with full details and we will be happy to help.
