This degree level equivalent qualification has been specifically designed for individuals who have leadership and management responsibilities in the financial sector.
There are two mandatory units to this qualification, The first unit, 'Becoming an Effective Leader' will develop the knowledge and understanding of effective leadership as required by a practising or potential middle manager in the city. This unit will give delegates a solid understanding of leadership, including the key competencies of leadership, understanding different leadership styles, when to use them and with whom, as well as how to evaluate their own ability to lead others.
The second unit 'Leading with Integrity' will help managers specifically in the financial industries lead with integrity. It will help them to balance the economic, legal, ethical and community responsibilities in a way which creates value for the business, as well as for society in general. It specifically covers understanding different forms of integrity, how to address ethical dilemmas, economic, legal and social responsibilities as well as how to appropriately align them as a leader in the city.
The workshops are highly participative, using facilitated discussion, presentations, case studies, group coaching, and group work. The workshops promote reflective review, and encourage participants to find opportunities to apply the learning directly into the workplace.
