The BCS have introduced a new e-professional system designed to give candidates more control over their record of achievements, accessing results, exam feedback and certificates.
How does e-professional work?
When QA book your exam paper we will provide the BCS with your individual email address (which you will need to give us when confirming your booking).
Prior to attending your course/exam, the BCS will send you an email which will include a link to enable you to create your online account via their 'Candidate' Portal.
You will be asked to complete an online Candidate Registration form. The information provided on this form will be used to produce your results and certificates.
When should you create your e-professional account?
Ideally, you should try to complete your online registration form prior to attending your course.
What happens if I do not complete my registration?
If you do not register for your exam prior to taking it, the British Computer Society will withhold your results until you supply them with the required details.
Tip: in order to access your records of achievement/candidate portal account, you will need to ensure you keep to the same email address you initially registered with. If you need to change this for any reason, then please contact the BCS to discuss further.
When do I get my results?
Your results will be sent from the BCS directly to your registered email address. Your results should be with you within 10 working days for an exam sat in the UK and 14 working days for international exams. Please note that this is an approximate timescale and cannot be guaranteed.
When can I get my e-certificate?
The BCS will notify you via your registered email address that your e-certificate is available to download from the e-professional online system.
Can I get a hard copy of my certificate?
If you prefer a paper copy certificate then QA can arrange this for you with the BCS. However, the BCS do charge for this service and you will be required to pay £15.00 for UK delegates and £20.00 for International. If you wish to purchase a copy then please contact your QA Account Manager who will arrange this for you.
