360° feedback is feedback that comes from members of an employee's immediate work circle. Most often, 360° feedback will include direct feedback from an employee's subordinates, peers (colleagues), and supervisor(s), as well as a self-evaluation. It can also include, in some cases, feedback from external sources, such as customers and suppliers or other stakeholders. The results from a 360° evaluation are often used by the person receiving the feedback to plan and map specific paths in their development journey.
Most 360° feedback tools tell you only what is, or what is not, contributing to a person's effectiveness. PRISM 360 also highlights ‘why’ this may be happening. It gives the user insights into what is taking place beneath the surface. This difference puts PRISM 360 in a class of its own. PRISM 360 is the only 360° profile that measures behavioural strengths, competencies, emotional intelligence and personality – plus options for mental toughness, and career development assessment.
