QA were delighted to have been awarded recognition as an Associate of the National Cyber Security Centre with Simon Kent, Head of Projects and Innovation for QA, on hand to collect the trophy at the inaugural awards ceremony held on Thursday 14th March.

In November 2018, QA partnered with the UK Governments National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to deliver a state-of-the-art educational cyber-security facility, known as ‘Cyber Hub’ as part of the NCSC’s Cyber Skills Hub initiative. Since announcing this important partnership, the facility at Beaufort Co-operative Academy in Gloucester has been a thriving community resource inspiring school children to think about careers in computer science and cyber security whilst also supporting after-school clubs and other primary and secondary schools.

Following the first-year success of the project, the NCSC staged its first awards evening to recognise and celebrate the work of Students, Teachers and Industry within the Cyber Schools Hubs on Thursday March 14th hosted by Allcooper Group in Gloucester.

QA’s achievements working alongside the NCSC are a testament to the ongoing effectiveness of the partnership and its commitment to making sure young people have the cyber security skills to help protect the UK from growing cyber threats.
