QA wins 2015 Microsoft Worldwide Learning Partner of the Year

London, UK – QA has been recognised as the winner of the 2015 Microsoft Worldwide Learning Partner of the Year. Selected from a set of more than 2,300 entrants from 108 different countries, the award recognises QA for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of learning solutions.

“Microsoft’s success as a company is dependent upon our ecosystem of great partners, and QA is a shining example of the kind of innovation our partners continue to drive year after year,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. “We are pleased to recognize QA for being selected as Winner of the 2015 Microsoft Worldwide Learning Partner of the Year award and for demonstrating excellence in providing value to our mutual customers.”

QA’s award-winning Microsoft Azure learning solution

To help Microsoft customers better understand how Azure-based solutions work and can benefit business needs, QA subject matter experts designed and delivered a series of unique, deep-dive technical, live virtual training events. Working with The Register, a leading online UK-based IT news agency, nearly 5,000 delegates attended the free virtual sessions. Some of the topics covered included:

  • an introduction to the advantages and capabilities of Windows Azure as an IaaS solution
  • how to transform existing infrastructure to the newest Windows Server 2012R2 (due to Windows Server 2003 end-of-life and support)
  • the advantages of migrating existing on-premises technology to Windows Azure
  • Windows Azure Active Directory

The webinar sessions were also made available post-event in an on-demand format, allowing customers to access the events at an alternative, convenient time. As intended, the series of Microsoft Azure technology webinars helped customers plan the implementation of Cloud OS technologies and solve actual business needs. QA has seen exponential growth in the Microsoft Azure training courses and certifications due to the high demand of customers transitioning to the Azure platform.

“We are at the beginning of a fundamental shift in IT where most infrastructure will inexorably move to the cloud, and Microsoft Azure is a major technology leading this change,” said Steve Brennan, QA’s Microsoft business development director. “I am delighted for QA to be recognised for their dedication to support Microsoft customers during this shift, and to receive such a notable award as the Microsoft Worldwide Learning Partner of the Year for being a market leader in delivering Azure training.”
