External Quality Visit

Last month, QA received an external quality visit from City & Guilds. Read to find out more.

When City & Guilds carried out an external quality visit earlier this month their focus was on our Digital Marketing apprenticeship programme. Pleasingly, the results were a reflection of the commitment and dedication QA put into the quality element of delivering high-standard apprenticeships for customers.

An External Quality Assurance (EQA) visit ensures that businesses are performing at industry standard. For QA, this means delivering our programmes at a high quality with the best interests of our customers in mind. Our Internal Quality Team carefully prepared for and oversaw the visit, with their notable efforts resulting in us having ‘no further actions’ and our DCS in check.

The EQA from City & Guilds (the awarding body) praised the high quality of evidence, gathered by the apprentices with the support of their Skills Coaches. City & Guilds also commended the passion and enthusiasm that the Digital Marketing Programme Team have in developing learners - both personally and professionally.

Comments in the report make clear that QA are putting quality at the forefront, with the report stating: ‘The centre is very low-risk and has an excellent track record for the Quality process for a number of years now.’

Julie Chell, Quality Manager at QA who oversaw the EQA visits said, “The Quality Team at QA have done a superb job of upholding the high-standards expected of any training provider. We can continue to grow our offering, knowing that we are delivering programmes that will enrich our learner’s careers long into the future. These results mean we can move forward with the confidence that we are on the right track, and we will keep pushing to deliver the best quality programmes we can for our learners and employers.”

These results are a testimony to QA and the employers we work with. Visits like these contribute towards building a foundation of trust and support with employers and apprentices alike, which is integral when working together to develop a learner’s personal and professional skills.
