What’s the job like?

Network engineers design, install and maintain communications networks. The network could be within your company, or between different companies.

You’ll keep networks running smoothly – by monitoring them, improving their performance, and fixing problems. And you’ll support the people that use them. You’ll make sure they’re always up and running – for other employees, or your customers.

You’ll be a digital oracle – giving excellent technical advice and understanding all there is to know about networks. Things like network configuration, cloud computing, and network administration.

Am I eligible?

  • An A-Level in ICT/Computing
    • or a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
    • or an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
    • or a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or a higher level than this apprenticeship.
