Impact on the organization

This course is intended to develop the skills needed to create robust JEE applications that align with best coding practices, resulting in increased application throughput and stability. These skills are suitable for organizations seeking to decrease time to market for applications and therefore cut costs on application development and maintenance.

Red Hat has created this course in a way intended to benefit our customers, but each company and infrastructure is unique, and actual results or benefits may vary.

Impact on the individual

As a result of attending this course, students should be able to create and deploy a fully functional enterprise Java application running on JBoss EAP 6 using JAX-RS, EJBs, JPA, RESTEasy, and HornetQ, as well as other related technologies.

Students should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Manage contexts and dependencies in a multitier application using CDI.
  • Create Arquillian test cases.
  • Write an application with JBoss Developer studio.
  • Secure enterprise applications.
  • Integrate an application with messaging systems.
  • Implement JEE coding best practices and testing techniques.
