About this Course

Code TPIP1301
Duration 1 Day

This course is aimed at non-technical audiences; although it has been found that technical audiences benefit from this at the start of more in depth communications courses. This training session revolves around exercises and presentations bringing alive the concepts of modern datacoms and telecoms networks. We look at convergence and the key terms surrounding this in our industry today. The course takes us from the earliest telecoms and IP networks to the latest technologies exploring some of the modern services as well as those to come. Lots of interactive group exercises designed to involve participants and develop their own understanding as well as being expected to contribute to the group sessions.

No prerequisite knowledge is required although a basic awareness of datacoms and telecommunications would be advisable.
