Delegates are required to bring a laptop with a CD-ROM drive to this training course.

Through an even balance of theoretical study and practical exercises, delegates gain the knowledge of basic electrical and transmission principles through the different uses, installation practices and standards relating to voice and data structured cabling systems.

Although designed as a standalone course, delegates also have the opportunity to extend their training and knowledge by attending the Fibre Optics in Internal & External Environments qualification.

The course is ideal for new entrants to the network infrastructure industry. It is also suitable for network administrators and installers seeking to increase their practical knowledge and understanding of copper based cabling, and who require a recognised qualification.

Delegates will learn how to

  • Delegates will gain a good understanding of the essential elements of data communications cabling and obtain an established industry recognised qualification.
