This course introduces data integration architecture concepts including modeling; understanding the different types of data sources; and designing the process of creating and using data warehouse information.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, it is essential that you have

  • familiarity with a wide range of SAS software used in data warehousing, SAS data management and data access features, SAS OLAP viewing/reporting tools

  • data warehouse or data mart project experience as an implementer (WCO or SAD) or analyst (WAN)

  • the ability to read entity-relationship diagrams

  • knowledge of the basic principles of designing applications and data.

It is also helpful (but not essential) that you have experience with

  • SAS Data Integration Studio
  • databases and/or SPDServer
  • client/server SAS features
  • data mining
  • web technology
  • data warehouse applications
  • projects as warehouse architect (WAC)
  • entity-relationship modeling techniques and tools. SAS System Modules Used
