The PMI-SP® mandates the following pre-requisites:

  • A Bachelor Degree plus
  • 3500hrs project planning experience and
  • 30 hours of formal project scheduling training (satisfied by this course)


  • A High-school Diploma plus
  • 5000hrs project planning experience and
  • 40 hours of formal project scheduling training (satisfied by this course)

Approximately 3 hours of pre course preparation is recommended.

Pre-Course Reading

Delegates are provided with full course material as well as a copy of the PMI Practice Standard for Scheduling, but must obtain their own copy of the PMI Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, PMBOK® Guide.

Course Outline

The PMI-SP® course uses project scenarios and a practical case study supported by accelerated-learning techniques to ensure that theory is embedded and delegates feel confident in the practical development of robust project schedules. Additional evening work is required in the form of consolidation reading and preparing related scheduling data based on a defined project scenario. The evening work is an integral part of the course and delegates should expect to spend approximately two hours on these activities.

How can I create an account on myQA.com?

When you book a QA online learning course you will receive immediate access to it through our e-learning platform and you can start to learn straight away, from any compatible device. When will I receive my joining instructions?

Joining instructions for QA courses are sent two weeks prior to the course start date, or immediately if the booking is confirmed within this timeframe. For course bookings made via QA but delivered by a third-party supplier, joining instructions are sent to attendees prior to the training course, but timescales vary depending on each supplier’s terms.
