This course will provide you with the knowledge to create, customise and manage a modern team site in Office 365, which is based on SharePoint technology.

You will identify the roles and expectations of a site owner and see how to manage a site and users by defining security groups, structure, content and policy.

This course is aimed at people who have the responsibility to create and manage teams via the Office 365 Teams app, or directly in SharePoint Online.

You will discover how to customise apps and modify their settings in order for them to control key business information. You will edit various types of web pages to arrange information and ensure it meets business processes and compliance. You will also identify custom features specific to modern team sites to improve team collaboration and management.


Please note that if you attend a course and do not meet these you may be asked to leave

  • Attendance on our course “Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint modern site overview” (QASPMO365), or some experience of using SharePoint
  • Good knowledge of Windows, ideally 7, 8.1 or 10
  • Working knowledge of Office / Office 365 applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience using Internet Explorer 11, or an equivalent browser
  • Have an understanding of what is expected by your organisation on how your newly developed skills will be used to create and manage sites

Dual monitor setup is required for when attending this course via the QA Attend from Anywhere delivery method.
