This unique QA learning path, with hands-on labs, is designed for investigators, responders and analysts. The pathway covers the broad topics essential to the digital forensics’ disciplines. It sets out a framework for investigations, covering the best practice as described by The National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) formally ACPO guidelines. Forensic fundamentals will be covered as well as the use of open source forensic tools. The data will then be analysed, and an example report produced. You will learn about the methods to identify, preserve, analyse and report on digital artefacts. Using a mixed approach of fundamentals and open source software, you will be able to select suitable tools and report on their findings in an evidential way. You will learn how to detect an attack, how to handle it, how to trace and acquire the evidence, investigate, analyse and re-construct the incident. Discover malware analysis methods by presenting the key tools and techniques malware analysts use to examine malicious programs. Challenge for leading industry certifications, globally recognised accreditation, to acknowledge your technical skills and elevate your career.

Basic knowledge of networking is desirable, particularly awareness of protocols and internet services. Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems is at command line desirable but not essential.
