This unique QA learning path will provide you with a detailed appreciation of the role and responsibilities of a Scrum Master in Agile projects.
You will begin with an introduction to the history, principles and manifesto of Agile and in particular, Scrum. You will gain an appreciation of the main rules and artefacts of scrum, how to produce work via sprints, how to manage a product backlog and how to define the Product Vision. You will also learn how Scrum can be blended with other practices such as Kanban.
Armed with this fundamental appreciation of the Scrum Framework, you will go on to explore in depth the role and responsibilities of the Scrum Master. You will examine the Scrum Artefacts, the Product Backlog, the Sprint Backlog and the Sprint Burndown. You will experience the key Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, the Sprint, the Daily Scrum, the Sprint review and the Sprint retrospective. You will then gain an introduction to Enterprise Scrum.
The final course in this three course learning path explores the facilitation and coaching techniques that a Scrum Master must employ in order to facilitate a flexible and trusting environment for Agile teams to work collaboratively and achieve healthy conflict resolution. You will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of the professional coaching skill set and when to apply coaching, mentoring, facilitation or training to serve individuals and teams in agile contexts.
You will receive the ICAgile Fundamentals certification on successful completion of the course. ICAgile - ICP-ACC Agile Coaching certification is achieved via the submitting (to your delivering instructor) of a case study demonstrating your knowledge of the team and organisational aspects of what is helping or hindering agility.
You will have the opportunity to undertake the Scrum.Org PSM 1 exam after having completed the Scrum Master course. Please note, the voucher cost for this exam is $150 and is not included in the cost of this learning path.
There are no specific pre-requisites for this learning path. However, it is expected that you will be performing the role of Scrum Master in Scrum based deliveries.
