Three core courses followed by your choice of either Data Center Design or Troubleshooting electives are required to obtain CCNP Data Center certification.

Cisco Certified Network Associate Data Center (CCNA DATA CENTER) certification is a prerequisite to achieving your CCNP Data Center certification. In addition, three to five years of hands-on experience are recommended before starting the CCNP Data Center program.

Recertification Requirements

The CCNP Data Center program is an professional-level certification program that is valid for three years. To recertify before the certification expiration date, accomplish one of the following:

  • Pass any current 642-XXX professional-level exam
  • Pass any current 300-XXX professional-level exam, or 
  • Pass any current CCIE written exam, or 
  • Pass any current CCIE lab exam, or 
  • Pass the current CCDE written exam, or 
  • Pass the current CCDE practical exam, or 
  • Pass the CCAR interview and the Architect board review to extend lower certifications.
