Microsoft has announced on August 1st that Windows 8 and Server 2012 have been released to manufacturing.
The actual product list that has been released is:
- Windows 8 x86/x64 (including IE10)
- Windows Server 2012 (including IE10)
- Visual Studio 2012
In terms of availability dates the software should be available to MSDN & TechNet subscribers around the 15th August, and volume license customers with Software Assurance a day or 2 later. For customers with just volume license should get the software around the 1st September.
Significantly there has been no comment on Win RT (ARM CPU version) or Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7.
