New PRINCE2® Professional qualification urges project managers to prove themselves.

"PRINCE2 Professional gives assurance that project managers have been tested on their skills in running a project in a PRINCE2 environment, and have reached a measurable standard." explains Peter Nesbitt, Head of Project Management Learning Consulting, QA. "This is something that will provide real value to both individuals and their employers.  This isn't just another training course. It's a rigorous advanced assessment that looks for evidence that project managers can demonstrate the right skills and attributes to lead PRINCE2 projects."

The workshop lasts two and a half days, with attendees arriving for a briefing on the first evening before they undertake two full days of actual project work which is monitored and marked by qualified assessors. In addition to testing understanding and application of PRINCE2 knowledge, the assessment will also evaluate the broader people management and communication skills, which are vital to running of successful projects.

Nesbitt continues "Having been involved in developing the qualification, and holding pilot events, we have already had experience of running these courses and we're delighted that we have assessors already qualified and ready.  We have had strong interest from a number of large organisations, keen to certify their staff, and we anticipate significant demand for the qualification."

The  PRINCE2 Professional  exam is specifically aimed at experienced project managers with at least three to five years working in a project environment* and will follow on from the PRINCE2 Practitioner. It is available today on the  QA public project management training schedule .
