We all know that stakeholders come in all shapes and sizes, and they all have different characteristics and habits. Managing these individuals takes careful consideration, so being able to spot the early signs of particular behaviours will set you up early for project or programme success, and will help you start to build a strategy for managing each of them.
Mapping stakeholders onto a Power/Influence chart

A power/influence chart is simply a grid used to map stakeholders according to their power/influence on a project and their interest in the project. Looking at where stakeholders have been positioned on the matrix helps one plan an appropriate approach to dealing with that stakeholder group.
