The Association for Project Management (APM) is the UK’s leading professional body for Project Managers and the largest independent professional body of its kind in Europe. It has over 15,000 individual and 400 corporate members throughout the UK and abroad. Risk management is a distinct and specific area within the APM Body of Knowledge (APM BoK) and a key control function within any project or programme.
All projects contain risks and the effective management of risk can have a significant impact on the success of projects. This course covers the benefits of managing project risks, the principles including the process and its application, organisational and control aspects. The exam syllabus is primarily based on the APM BoK, the APM PRAM Guide, and BS6079 Parts 1 & 3.
Delegates should have a good understanding of project management and a basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of project risk management.
Project and programme managers who are involved in project risk management at any level, hold the Association for Project Management APMP qualification are ideal candidates for this course.
Delegates will be sent pre course reading prior to the course. This pre course reading will take approximately 15 hours in order to fully prepare. If you have not received your pre course reading 2 weeks before the start of your course please contact your account manager directly, or a member of our team on 0845 757 3888. Alternatively email us.

I frequently facilitate learning sessions on time management, and one common theme for many, in this age of higher expectations on staff, is increased work load. But is it really more work that’s affecting our ability to be productive, or are we experiencing more ‘time stealers’ than we used to.
This blog looks at what the factors need to be influenced to achieve project success
