Overview

In this course you will learn the skills to enable you to use the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language to simplify or automate activities using the Microsoft Office 2007 applications.  The course covers examples in Excel 2007, Access 2007, Word 2007 and PowerPoint 2007.

NOTE that Microsoft Excel 2007 is used as the primary application during the course for demonstration purposes.

Prerequisites

  • Delegates should have attended the QA course Introduction to VBA in Office 2007 or have equivalent knowledge
  • A working knowledge of Excel 2007, Access 2007, Word 2007 and PowerPoint 2007
  • Understand how to create charts, PivotTables and apply filters and sorting of data sets

Delegates will learn how to

  • Work with the Office 2007 Object Model

  • Create macros to work from application to application
  • Write VBA to work with data
