QA leads IT Training Top 50: Announced as number one UK technical training provider
News release date:27 May 2009
QA has again been placed top of the UK IT training market in 2009, reporting revenues over four times that of its nearest competitor. The report, published annually by IT Training magazine, shows QA leading the top 50 providers.
Chief Executive of QA, William Macpherson, comments; “We’re delighted that this report recognises the success of our company over the last few years. We have grown both through acquisition and organically, and this gives us a unique strength based on both the breadth of our offering and the range of locations in which we are able to deliver. The training market is going through some tough times at the moment, in line with the economy as a whole, so it’s not surprising that some companies in the Top 50 have seen an impact on their business. We have been focused on providing best-value training to all our clients through the difficult conditions and their loyalty and support has seen us enhance our leading position.”
QA has seen consistently growing demand in the last twelve months in several key technology areas, including virtualisation training for both VMware and Microsoft’s Hyper-V. Its Professional Best Practice training has also seen strong demand – focusing on ITIL service management and project management certification. A further boost to QA’s portfolio comes from the recent launch of the ISEB Foundation Certificate in Green IT – developed alongside the BCS and available exclusively from QA.
Macpherson concludes; “We’ve been looking at a number of innovative ways to deliver the training our customers need while ensuring they are getting best possible value for their training budget – the success of this has been recognised by some significant new programme wins and by the renewal of several key Managed Learning Service contracts. Bespoke eLearning is also seeing strong growth and is an area we plan to further develop during 2009.”
