As Phil announced last week we had a silly bet on who could write the most blogs in a week which involved furiously typing on every commute and every spare moment of the day. My pace will lessen a little now but the blogging will continue.

Oh and there was shouting! As duplicitous war gamer Phil Stirpe pulled a fast one and punted up a chunk of blogs just before the deadline!

Like the first week of a fitness regime or a detox without sweet, sweet, beer once you get past the first hurdle it's really fun. It has also made me think about how I teach and what blogging gives as a value add to my students and my colleagues by putting things up on the web. Already this week someone asked me about javascript debugging and I pointed him to my ongoing series.

The social networking side of the game has been a bit of fun as well. QA is a pretty disparate family spread from Aberdeen to Exeter and it can be month between seeing colleagues. Sharing ideas and geeing each other on has been a fun motivator in this muggy summer week.

I'll have to think of our next competition soon. Maybe you can think of one? OR suggest a blog you would like to see?

However as 3rd place there is no cake for me. Instead I'll have to suffice with the only Kernel I care about and the fact that Mrs W thought I looked cute as Iron Man

Oh and Sylvester McCoy was the best Doctor!
